Thanks to our readers for a great start

This is wishing all readers the best in 2010.
We’re looking forward to a terrific year in sports, highlighted by the Olympics in February and the World Cup during the summer. Truth and Rumours will continue to give you our take on the media’s performance, as well as providing news and commentary on the athletes and sports organizations.
T&R launched in mid-October and the response over three and half months has been, quite frankly, remarkable. Page views and unique visits have exceeded our most optimistic projections. We’re posted regularly on Bob McCown’s website, fadoo.ca, and also linked with CBCSports.ca. There could be additional relationships in 2010.
This is meant to be an update, but it’s also a chance to thank everyone who has visited the website, with a special thank you to the contributors to the comments section. Your opinions have provided us with a lively, if occasionally cringe-making, conversation salon.
Finally, an advisory: You won’t see a new posting at T&R until Friday. We experienced technical problems on Sunday. Right now, we’re off-line and in the process of switching to a new Internet provider.
See you Friday, and thanks again for giving us a look.

You are also occasionally cringe making, Mr. H. But keep at it, some good stuff here.
Happy New Year, William. I'll join those who were pleasantly surprised to see you start up your blog. It has become a daily routine for me to check to see what William Houston has to say about the world of sports media.
this blog has been a welcome addition to my morning bounce around the internets. thanks for doing this and please keep up the regular updates. whenever sports news breaks i can count on this blog to deliver good professional insight and (sometimes) interesting discussion.
best wishes for the coming year. we're glad to have you back.

The thanks shouldn't be to the readers, as much as it should be to William. I was both surprised, and happy, to see that you started a blog. When you retired from the Globe a couple years ago I never got a chance to thank you for years of being one of my favourite writers, and the only one who I read daily. I am 16 years old and I got into writing mostly because of you, so you have actually influenced my life greatly. Hope you had a great holidays and have a great 2010 William.
Well, congrats and all that, but we want you to accept you are no longer writing a newspaper column and place each topic in a separate entry.
